Booking a flight or a hotel

Comparison rather than a fixed sequence, which is what these agents are genuinely good at.

What happens

  1. Search across the date range you gave
  2. Apply your constraints — no red-eyes, aisle seat, near the station
  3. Open several results and compare fares and times
  4. Assemble a shortlist with the trade-offs stated
  5. Optionally proceed to the booking form and stop before payment

The strongest consumer case, because the work is comparison rather than a fixed sequence — exactly the thing a script cannot do and a person finds tedious. It is also unusually forgiving of the compounding-error problem: if the agent misreads one fare, you see it in the shortlist and correct it, rather than discovering it after a transaction.

Where it breaks

Airline and hotel sites are hostile to automation by design, with aggressive bot detection and prices that shift between the search page and the basket. Treat the output as research, not as a booking.
