Filling in a long application form

Pure transcription across several pages. Unglamorous, low-risk, and one of the highest-value things here.

What happens

  1. Read the source document — a CV, a previous application, a set of notes
  2. Open the form and work through it field by field
  3. Carry answers across multi-page sections
  4. Leave anything ambiguous blank and flag it
  5. Stop before submission for review

Nobody makes a launch video about this and it is one of the best uses of the technology. The work is pure transcription, humans are measurably bad at it, and everything is visible on screen before submission — so the failure mode is a wrong field you can see, not a silent error.

Where it breaks

Conditional fields that appear based on earlier answers, and any form that silently discards progress on a validation error. Both are common and both waste the whole run.

ChatGPT Agent Retired. Agent mode inside ChatGPT, withdrawn in August 2026; OpenAI now points users at ChatGPT Work for multi-step tasks and at the cloud browser for browser workflows. Browser Use Python library that hands a browser to any LLM. One of the most widely adopted open-source options.
